Author Guidelines
Authors may submit Original Research Articles, Review articles, Short Reviews, Case Report, Case series, Letter to the editor in the areas covered under the scope of the International Journal of Diagnostics And Research (IJDR).
Prerequisites
The International Journal of Diagnostics And Research (IJDR) journal accepts manuscripts for open access publication that are prepared in accordance with the guidelines framed by IJDR Team for the uniform requirements of manuscripts submissions.
Manuscripts received are processed by International Journal of Diagnostics And Research ( IJDR) after the declaration from the authors that the manuscripts are not published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Authors who are producing experimental research in their manuscript have to submit declaration that they have obtained approval of an appropriate ethics committee (Upload IEC approval letter). CTRI registration is desirable and mandatory for funded research. For original experimental research, AEC approval is must and CTRI registration is desirable.
Authors from pharmaceutical companies are required to follow the Good Publication guidelines (GPG) guidelines for pharmaceutical companies, which are available on http://www.gpp-guidelines.org/
Preparation of Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be written as per the "Uniform requirements for Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals" developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (October 2006). Main Manuscripts should be framed in accordance with the type of the article. The subdivisions in the article should include :
- Title page,
- Abstract,
- Introduction,
- Materials and Methods,
- Results/Observations,
- Discussion,
- Acknowledgements,
- References,
- Tables,
- Figures and Legends
All manuscripts should be written in English (font – Times Roman, Size 12, spacing 1.5) and number all the pages consecutively beginning with the title page.
Author should put the name and address for correspondence, with the e-mail.
Authors
1.Authors should write their name under the title
2. Author should provide the e-mail address for correspondence
3. Author should not reveal their identity anywhere in the manuscript except below the title.
Word limits
1. Original Research Articles (Clinical and Experimental) – It should have maximum 4000 words (max 80 references) and six tables and six photos.
2. Review Articles - It should have 4000 words (max 80 references) and six tables and six photos.
3. Short Review Articles - It should have 2000 words (max 30 references) four tables and four photos.
4. Case Studies - It should have 1500 words (max 15 references)-four tables and four photos.
5. Book Review - It should have 2000 words (max 15 references) and four tables and four photos.
6. Case Series - It should have 2000 words (max 20 references) - four tables and four photos.
Language and formatting
1.The language of the article shall be English.
2. All Sanskrit words should be in italics
3. All non-popular Sanskrit words should be translated in English in the bracket.
4. Use English words for self-explanatory terminologies (e.g. use ‘exercise’ instead of ‘Vyayam’)
5. Write the headings in Capital letter except for Introduction, objectives, material & methods, Results, Discussion, conclusion, references.
6. Remove special formatting for bullets, page border, upper and lower margin, etc.
Language and grammar
1. Author should use US English
2. Check the manuscript for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
3. Latin names and Species names should be in italics
4. Write the full term for all abbreviations at their first use in the title, abstract, keywords, and text.
5. If a brand name is cited, supply the manufacturer's name and address.
Presentation and format
1. The title page should contain all the required information
2. The text of manuscript should have double spacing
3. Page numbers should be placed at the bottom
4. Running title should not have more than 50 characters.
5. The abstract page should contain the full title of the manuscript
6. Abstract should not be more than 300 words.
7. Provide 3 or more Keywords
8. Give references as per the journal's guidelines regarding it.
9. The references cited in the text should be in superscript with a bracket like this after the full stop, comma, etc. as [1]
Tables
1. All tables are placed within the text at the appropriate places.
2. All tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals, in the order of their first citation in the text, and write a brief title of the table.
3. Give no. and heading at the top of the table
4. Tables should be self-explanatory and should not duplicate text matter.
5. Tables with more than 8 columns and 16 rows are not acceptable.
6. Explain all non-standard abbreviations that are used in each table in the footnotes.
7. Obtain permission for all fully borrowed, adapted, and modified tables and write a credit line in the footnote.
8. For footnotes use the following symbols, in this sequence: *, †, ‡, §, ||,¶ , **, ††, ‡‡
Illustrations (Figures)
1. All illustrations and figures should be placed within the text at the appropriate place.
2. Upload the images in JPEG format with a file size below 1024 kb.
3. Figures should be numbered in chronological order in which they have been first mentioned in the text.
4. Write the number and heading at the top
5. The photographs of individuals if used, should bear the written consent to use the photograph.
References Style in IJDR
1] References should be numbered in consecutive order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
2] reference no. should be added manually. Don't use the automatic referencing.
3] Reference no. should be written as superscript in the bracket before the full stop, comma etc. as [1]
4] Don’t use prefix Prof, Vaidya, Pt (Pandit), Acharya etc while giving the name of the reference book author.
5] For classical text references the mentioning of chapter no., verse no., edition no. & page no. is mandatory.
6] Write the complete name of a journal for non-indexed journals.

Submission of Manuscripts
Check list before submission
1. Cover letter – Authors are required to submit a cover letter mentioning all the authors and co-author’s information with Department, University, Address, Correspondence details, Country, Email, Contact details.
2. copyright form – It should be submitted in original with signatures of all the authors while submitting the article as an additional file in the format provided for the purpose.
3. Main Manuscript – Authors are requested to submit manuscript as a single file or Zip folder (in case exceeds the size limit) either in MS Word or PDF with all Abstract, Keywords, Abbreviations, Figures, Tables, Appendices, References, inserted at appropriate places in the text of the article.
4. Supporting Information – Authors wishing to add any supporting information like author’s contributions, conflicts of interests, acknowledgements, Funding availability, Dedications, Thank Notes etc. they can add at the end of the manuscript itself.

Manuscripts should be submitted in two files
1] Open File – It should contain the title, Name and addresses of the authors and the entire manuscript with all supported documents.
2] Blinded file – It should not bear any information about the author’s name or address. It should contain the main text of the article, starting from Abstract to the References.

A] For Indian Authors :
1] For Clinical & Experimental article – rs. 2000/- for general authors. Rs. 600/- discount for RVPGA lifetime members
2] For Review article, Short Review, Book Review, Case Report, Case Series - rs. 1200/- for general authors. Rs. 200/- discount for RVPGA lifetime members.
B] For Foreign Authors: - Article processing charges of US$50.00 for all articles.
